In the project Groenwit, VDS, Biolynx and RELEAF, with the support of the province of West-Flandres, will investigate whether green waste can be processed and refined to:

  1. microbial protein, suitable as fish feed, and

  2. fibers, suitable as peat-replacer in pottery soil.

​

The main research questions concern the technical feasibility of the production as well as the quality of the microbial protein.

​

RELEAF will process the green waste and test the potential of the fibers as peat-replacer.
