Market demands and environmental restraints have created an opportunity for peat alternatives for the potting soil industry. RELEAF and his partners Agaris, Stad Gent and ILVA, supported by Vlaanderen Circulair, are committed to create and demonstrate a performant potting soil in which peat is replaced by a sustainable RELEAF alternative.

The potting soil recipe is formulated and produced by Agaris. Stad Gent will consequently test and demonstrate the potting soil in the cities flower boxes. Furthermore, they will supply the green waste from which RELEAF produces the sustainable peat alternative.
